Welcome

 My name is Rick Dalton; as a kid my first love was Rock & Heavy Metal. At age 15 I purchased my first guitar. It was a  beat up, old acoustic that played horribly, but I was hooked. I practiced and played day & night. When I was 17 my dad chipped in to help pay for my first pro guitar ('78 BC Rich Mockingbird) that I still own and cherish to this day. 

At age 18 I joined my first working band named Concussion. We played all over North Eastern Ohio and surrounding cities opening for such acts as Pantera and Danzig. I then came to California at age 20 to pursue more studies in guitar and teach myself how to solo. I worked my butt off for the first year learning music theory and then I started teaching full time.

I've now been teaching guitar and bass for almost 30 years. I teach all styles and ages in a quick and easy learning environment. My lessons are designed to help you learn at an accelerated level! I guarantee you will learn as long as you practice and follows my lesson plan. Being self taught I know all the pitfalls a guitarist falls into.
